Changes to Declaring Overseas Freight & Insurance and VOTI
A NOTICE has been released by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) in reference to declaring overseas freight and insurance for customs valuation and value of the taxable importation processes.
Exdoc Billing Has Changed
AS OF 1st of November 2016 the Department has changed billing arrangements for EXDOC generated invoices, i.e. export permits and health certificates. From this date EXDOC invoices have been sent directly to the exporter nominated in the export permit and not the EDI user who has submitted the application on behalf of the exporter.
Random Inspections of Air Cargo
A SECOND survey of imported commercial air cargo will be conducted from 14 November 2016. 300 consignments that would not normally be subject to biosecurity intervention will be inspected.
