Cyclone Alfred Update – Brisbane

Seabridge is closely monitoring the impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, which made landfall late Friday evening, bringing heavy rain, extreme winds, and flooding across southeast Queensland. Although the cyclone has passed, severe weather conditions persist and continue to disrupt port operations and logistics services in Brisbane and the surrounding areas.

  • Port of Brisbane: Operations are expected to resume on Monday, 10 March 2025.
  • Patrick Terminal / DP World / Hutchison Ports: Operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, 10 March 2025.
  • Empty Container Parks: Operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, 10 March 2025.
  • Brisbane Airport: Operations resumed on Sunday, 9 March 2025. Terminal storage fees will be waived from midday 6 March 2025 through to close of business on 9 March 2025.
  • Gold Coast Airport: Operations resumed on Sunday, 9 March 2025.
  • Road Closures: Flooding and high winds continue to impact major roads and bridges, with closures expected to remain in place over the coming days.
