On 31 May, the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) risk season ended.
Accordingly, The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has ceased biosecurity measures for the 2019-20 BMSB risk season.
Any goods shipped or vessels departing from BMSB target risk countries are no longer subject to BMSB seasonal measures. Increased intervention for onshore inspections has also concluded.
Biosecurity is now finalising ‘2020-21 Proposed Seasonal Measures’ for BMSB. Seabridge will provide updates on these measures as soon as they are released.
